Dr. Shamik Chakraborty published an article on the relationship between the loss of traditional ecological knowledge and community resilience in the Sundarbans mangrove region of Bangladesh. The findings were published in the journal Small-scale Forestry.

The social-ecological resilience of risk taking, inclusive decision-making, trust, and less fear-related behavioral attributes gets reduced. All these can make the SES stay in an undesired state and continue to self-degrade.
